In the interests of transparency and in order to provide all property owners with as much information as possible, SOS Planas is sharing a summary of the meeting held last week between representatives of Pratdip town council and the Public Administrations.
The report was written by Domingo Ripolles, a member of Pratdip town council.

Meeting with the Administration

Hello everyone,
This past Monday, January 20th, the Pratdip Town Hall initiated a series of simultaneous meetings with all Public Administrations that, in one way or another, are related to the Integration Project of Planas.

I must point out that I was invited as a Councilor of the Pratdip Town Hall and a resident of Planas del Rey. As I mentioned before, ALL the Administrations were present, represented by high-ranking officials.

Attendees:

  • Pratdip Town Hall:
    • Mayor: Silvia Carrillo
    • Secretary-Controller: Fernando Moreno
    • Councilor: Domingo Ripolles
  • Tarragona Provincial Council:
    • Jaume Vidal, Head of the Territorial Infrastructure Area, accompanied by an administrative technician
  • Comarcal Council:
    • Josep Frederic, Architect of the Comarcal Council and Pratdip Municipality.
  • Urban Planning:
    • Xavier Villacampa, Director of Territorial Services for Planning in Tarragona, accompanied by two urban planning technicians.
  • ACA (Catalan Water Agency):
    • Anabel Batalla, Territorial Management Area Representative.
  • INCASOL:
    • Representation delegated to the participants from the Department of Planning.

The meeting was opened by the Mayor, who outlined the main goal of this gathering: to address the current issues and explore solutions through the various administrations.

Following this, the municipal secretary gave a presentation on the situation of Planas, highlighting the legal uncertainties and the Town Hall’s economic situation.

A very interesting debate ensued among the attendees regarding the legal questions raised. The representatives took notes to provide answers, particularly on matters related to the financing of works and registration in the Property Registry.

The ACA also reported on the situation of the Planas wastewater treatment plant, which will be funded by the agency, but only once the sewer network is fully updated.

The Architect of the Comarcal Council gave a noteworthy statement, informing about a court ruling that prohibits any construction in Planas until the urbanization is officially registered in the Property Registry.

It was concluded that it is necessary to register Planas in the Falset Property Registry and update the project, as some aspects have become outdated over time. Additionally, the initial plan, which was designed with high standards, must be adjusted to a more simplified version.

In summary, I believe this meeting was positive. Of course, I didn’t hear that it would be free or easy, but I did perceive optimism from the Administrations, who took note and promised to respond quickly and, as much as possible, to smooth the path. This year, 2025, could be a turning point for our urbanization.
